Wells Fargo works hand-in-hand with Morton steel pole building customers to help them find financing for construction projects. Morton pole buildings are known for a range of options and brand-specific features.
Foundation
Pole building is a term that applies to structures that are built around a skeleton of metal poles or wooden timbers (posts) that are set in backfilled earth or concrete. In the case of Morton steel pole buildings, there is a combination of these possibilities available according to your needs. The in-ground laminated column option consists of treated wooden columns sunken into concrete and backfill. Perma columns are wooden posts fixed to metal poles which are attached to the concrete footing via galvanized anchors. The monolithic slab features a single-poured concrete slab foundation. The formed wall with footing includes a formed concrete wall with a concrete footing.
Stability
Morton buildings use roll-formed steel with a zinc coating that will resist rust and cracks. The corners of the buildings are x-banded to resist wind pressure. The interior features a 7/16-inch wooden liner that protects the inside wall from hazards and equipment, while lending additional structure rigidity. Morton buildings can span up to 100 feet wide. The trusses play a huge role in maintaining proper support for such monsters. Morton steel pole buildings can be ordered with double or triple-wide trusses, in either straight or raised-chord design. No matter what you choose, the trusses will be constructed in a durable, dense web.
Insulation
The Morton Buildings Energy Performer package allows for proper heating and cooling through exceptional insulation options, beneficial air circulation and proper ventilation. All of the electrical and plumbing is hidden within the finished walls. The HVAC is located inside of the finished ceiling, between the surface and the insulation. Generous insulation is blown into the ceiling, and the walls afford a full 6 inches of insulation.
Livestock
When housing livestock within a Morton steel pole building, there is unavoidable dust, dirt and other airborne debris. Morton combats this debris with two standard-sized cupolas that can be included in your building to draw out the contaminants and exhaust them. The continuous vented ridge helps keep the air circulating properly to combat excessive moisture and keep the build up of excessive hot air at bay. Barn stables can be ordered with standard features, or can be customized with premium stable options as well through Morton Buildings.
Style
Morgan steel pole buildings can be used for a variety of purposes, from housing to warehousing. The wainscot, roofing and steel exterior can be customized with powder coated colors. There are over a dozen styles of roof and five separate roof pitches that can be used to customize your Morton building appearance.
