History

The Buckeye Nutrition Company was first formulated in Massillon, Ohio in 1910 as the Buckeye Cereal Company. The company began specializing in specialty flours and bread manufacturing, which lead to the idea of the mass production of various animal feeds. The production of flour yielded a mass amount of by-products, perfectly suited for animal nutrition. The success of the company lead to its relocation to Dalton, Ohio and its reincorporation in 1947 as the Buckeye Feed Mills, Incorporated. The company's 80-year success has given it an industry reputation of producing high quality animal feed.
