Jumping Lesson
Last week I had the pleasure of trailering to Windsor Show Stables for a riding lesson in preparation for an upcoming horse show. I brought my jumper Vanessa whom I’m planning on showing in the level 5 jumpers at the first show I’m competing in this year.

We worked a lot on adjustability and did a number of transitions within the trot and canter. We practiced lengthening then collecting and making small circles, all the while focusing on keeping Vanessa supple.

Over fences we began with an exercise consisting of a two stride line with ground poles before, between and after the fences to make Vanessa not only think about where her feet were but to encourage the both of us to leave from a correct distance and land with a correct canter stride.

We both learned a lot!
