Hi I’m Mara Keith-Hunter. I’m a young equine professional specializing in hunters, jumpers and equitation riding. On top of doing a lot of teaching and training I’m also keeping busy with the challenges of keeping my business, Sycamore Stables, running. Having ridden competitively for both the University of Findlay and the University of Massachusetts I’m still active with the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association as the coach for Hampshire College team.

Speaking of showing, I’m fairly active on the horse show circuit and bring a number of students to horse shows throughout the year. While I only have one horse right now that I seriously show I have a number of young horses that I’m bringing along and will show as they become ready.

Throughout this blog I’ll discuss the various day to day challenges and events that are part of training horses, teaching people and running a business.

Site Manager - Mara Hi, I'm Mara. I hold several equine business related degrees and have earned numerous national awards for riding. I've been seriously involved with horses my entire life and have ridden with many locally and nationally known horse professionals. I've also worked as a working student for hunter/jumper trainers Tammy Provost-Vitello and Wendy Newby, primarily as a rider and instructor. I've worked extensively with event, jumper and dressage trainer Jerry Schurink.
