HITS Horse Show
This week is the first show of the season for me and Vanessa. The first show is usually the most stressful for me because I need to do a lot of extra packing and planning to make sure everything is in order. There are a lot of things that can be done at the beginning of the show season that then you won’t need to worry about again.

Today I went to the tire store and got a new spare tire to have on the trailer in case of emergencies. Show season means a lot of driving and it is important to make sure your trailer is in good, safe shape.

Another thing to make sure you have in order before you begin a season of showing is a good first aid kit. The kit should include all the basics you might need for you and for your horse.

I also like to make sure that I keep a few basic things in the trailer dressing room that I know will always be there. Some of the items that I like to have on hand are, longe line, dressage whip, first aid kit, extra halter, extra lead rope, hay net, and extra trailer tie.

Hope I don’t forget anything!
