Grooming Brando

blog post photo

On Friday I got a phone call from someone interested in one of my horses that I have for sale, Brando. They wanted to come within the hour to take a look at him so I immediately went to bring him in so that I could groom him and get him looking well for the showing. When I got to his paddock not only was he lying down but he was directly in a mud puddle and had no blanket on.

Obviously this got me into a panic! I quickly got him in, sponged off his legs, brushed him, and vacuumed him. Then I got the show sheen out and sprayed it on his neck, haunches and legs and toweled him off to get any last dirt and mud. Meanwhile my mom got to work on his tail, mane and forelock brushing it and applying cowboy magic, a wonderful tool for untangling. Amazingly we got him decently clean and shiny and he looked great for the woman that came to see him.

We’ll see if he sells!
